We are an independently owned general bookshop specialised in books in English, open since 2003. We stock thousands of books in English for adults and children, as well as those learning or teaching English. We also offer a fast and efficient ordering service for anything not in stock, with delivery times sometimes as short as 24 hours, at no extra charge! We receive daily deliveries direct from the UK and USA, and we can obtain most books printed in English - we even have a special order service for books that are out of print.

We choose the books we stock ourselves, and pride ourselves on the breadth of our selection, as well as on our friendly, personal service. We are all English speaking, hailing from the UK, the USA and Europe - and we all love reading! OffTheShelf is near Place du Cirque, in the centre of Geneva between the Banking Sector and the Plainpalais area, on the first floor above the German bookshop 'Literart' and opposite the French bookshop 'Le Rameau d'Or'.

If you're coming by car, the road we're situated on leads from the train station or from Carouge towards Place du Cirque. We are on the corner of Boulevard Georges Favon and Rue Hesse. You can park in Rue Hesse or in any of the nearby underground car parks (Plainpalais, Uni-Dufour, Hotel des Finances).

To come by public transport, take any bus or tram that stops at 'Cirque' (numbers 1, 2, 4, 10, 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 32, D, K, L) or 'Stand' (13, 14, 15, 16). We are located halfway between the two stops.
